Pole-vaulter Sean Lim has been given the green light from the Singapore National Olympic Council to participate in December's SEA Games in Myanmar. He replaces Edwin Chong, 25, after the 2011 bronze medallist withdrew from the biennial meet due to his plans to further his studies overseas.

Lim, 20, broke the national pole vault record at the Singapore Under-23 Open Championships 2013 last Sunday at Choa Chu Kang Stadium with a mark of 4.83m. He eclipsed the previous national record - set by training partner Chan Sheng Yao in April - by one centimetre.

Chan will be Singapore's other representative in the pole vault.
