With numerous running events dotting the calendar in Singapore, the Asics City Relay has distinguished itself by becoming the country's first-ever night marathon relay-only race.

Set to be held at the Sports Hub on Aug 1, the Asics City Relay will see teams of four compete in Singapore's first ever night marathon relay-only event.

The unique format of the relay will see each team member run one lap of the course around the Sports Hub precinct (approximately 10.5km) with the changeover taking place inside the National Stadium.

Participants can enter the 42.195km marathon relay in the corporate, clubs, students or open categories and can register as an all-male, all-female or mixed teams. The number of teams is capped at 2,000 - A total of 8,000 runners.

Online registration (at www.cityrelay.com.sg) will open at 8pm on March 21. Registration fee is at $290 per team while students can register at $210. A total of 400 early bird team slots are available at $250 on a first-come, first-served basis.
