SINGAPORE will host its first Asean Para Games in two years' time.

The 8th edition of the biennial competition, which is traditionally held after the SEA Games, will be hosted here in December 2015.

At least 10 sports are expected to be contested and about 1,300 athletes are expected to take part in the event.

Said Lim Teck Yin, executive chairman of the 8th Asean Para Games organising committee: "One of the key thrusts of Vision 2030 is to have sports without boundaries and disability sport plays an important role in creating an inclusive society."
