As Olympic rumours swirl, athletes will do the only thing they know - train

In all the economics of cancellation and politics of postponement, in all the speculation and idle guesswork, don't forget them. The ones who roll out of bed every day just for Tokyo. The ones who swim and fence, tumble and kayak, who nobody truly cares for, except when they'll be in Tokyo. The ones for whom Tokyo isn't a Games, not some mere polished playground, but a validation of a life's work.

So, please, just don't tell them there may not be a Tokyo this year.
