Rajendran Vijayababu slammed 244 not out yesterday to record the highest individual score in a 30-over cricket league match in Singapore.

The 34-year-old opener had 44 boundaries and five sixes in his 102-ball knock as he took his side, Minnals, to a 380-2 total against Avadh in a Seasoned Pro30 match at the Bukit Timah Sport Field.

The previous best was Aslam Parvez's 192 (87 balls, six sixes and 29 boundaries) for Mariners CC against Meiji Mavericks in a Seasoned Pro30 match on May 29 at the same ground.

Almost all top players in Singapore play in the Seasoned Pro30, which is recognised by the Singapore Cricket Association.

Minnals won the match by restricting Avadh to 182-9 in 30 overs.
