World police agency Interpol to launch global security event in Singapore next year

Global police agency Interpol will launch an international summit on global security in Singapore next year.

Named Interpol World, the event will connect governments and national security agencies with private security companies to explore technologies and solutions in addressing global security needs, Interpol announced here on Wednesday.

The event will focus on cyber security, city safety, border management and supply chain security and be supported by Singapore's Ministry of Home Affairs. It is slated to be held at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre.

It will be held on April 14-16 next year, a day after the opening of the Interpol Global Complex for Innovation, which is currently being built here to complement its General Secretariat in Lyon, France, and enhance its presence in Asia.
