Facebook might not be the best place to work for those watching their waistlines.

Its office in Singapore has two well-stocked pantries that resemble mini convenience stores.

Employees can choose from a large variety of snacks including potato chips, chocolate bars, nuts and cereal. To wash that all down, there is also beer and wine.

Mr Vikran Kumar, the company's head of real estate and facilities operations, said with a laugh that employees have complained about gaining weight since joining the company.

In fact, the recruitment segment on Facebook Singapore's website declares: "We keep you full with free meals, plus kitchens stocked with unlimited snacks."

The American social networking company celebrated its 10th anniversary on Feb 4.

Its Singapore office in Cecil Street opened in late 2010, and the Straits Times video team dropped in for a visit on Wednesday.
