Nathaniel Teo, 11, loves superhero movies and yesterday, he got to be one of the first fans in Singapore to watch the premiere of the new DC blockbuster, Wonder Woman, at Shaw Theatres Lido.

He and his mother, housewife Cherilyn Teo, 40, were among 320 lucky readers of The Straits Times who bagged free tickets to the exclusive 6.30pm screening, as part of the new ST+ loyalty programme.

The tickets were given away through a contest in which the first 160 readers to respond to an advertisement in The Sunday Times each won a pair of free tickets.

To take part, readers had to download the SPH Rewards mobile application and answer a simple question about the film starring Gal Gadot and Chris Pine in the giveaway section of the app.

ST+ is aimed at rewarding loyal subscribers of the paper. ST+ includes various discounts and privileges from brands, including Canon and New Balance, as well as access to events like the movie screening.

"I think it's a really good idea to have this programme, especially with rewards like this," said Mrs Teo.
