An estimated 2,000 photography enthusiasts from Singapore and the region took part in the annual photography competition.

They scoured the island for moments that communicate the competition's themes of vision and kyosei (Japanese for working in harmony), as well as around the contest's tagline: Space #nofilter #newperspective.

The event's Best of Show winner in the student category is Tan Jiale Nicholas from Singapore Polytechnic and the Best of Show winner in the open category is Mr Lim Mark Anthony Pamintuan, a nurse.

Their prizes include an all-expenses-paid Canon photo clinic trip to Japan and a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV camera body.
