And then there was darkness - for a good cause. For an hour last night, the necklace of lights in downtown Singapore went dim, as iconic landmarks such as the Singapore Flyer switched off their non-essential lights to mark Earth Hour. The global initiative celebrated its 10th year this year, with some 200 businesses and organisations across Singapore pledging to flip the switch.
