An SMRT bendy bus was stuck on a field behind Block 195, Kim Keat Avenue, for about 10 hours before it was finally towed away yesterday morning. The bus driver was returning the off-service vehicle to the depot in the early hours of the morning when he took a wrong turn and tried to make a U-turn on the field, SMRT said. The wheels of the bus apparently sank into the soft earth, making extrication challenging for the tow truck company. Workers later attached a chain to a part of the rear end of the chassis and a tow vehicle pulled the bus out of the mud at about 10am.
