What can you look out for in this year's Read! Fest?

ILLUSTRATION: NATIONAL LIBRARY BOARD

Our annual Read! Fest began on 9 June and runs till National Reading Day on 29 July. With 150 programmes island-wide, there are still plenty of events to check out.

Sample our Literary Buffet of book launches and panel discussions with local writers. Check out sharing sessions by NLB's Book Clubs - and consider joining them even beyond this Read! Fest.

Our Print & Stage series showcases theatre and interactive storytelling, for children and adults alike. Children can enjoy stories in the four official languages and adults can watch monologues by thespians from the Singapore Monologue Slam.

For the hands-on approach, join Workshops ranging from spice appreciation to food sketching and even a drama series based on Malay novels.

Making stories come alive is our Beyond the Page series, which includes a sharing session by participants of the close-reading and creative writing mentorship Crimson & Clover.

On National Reading Day, we're encouraging the public to read by giving out preloved library books, in our annual Big Book Giveaway. Come down to The Courtyard @ Westgate in Jurong East and Festive Walk @ Our Tampines Hub, and bring home three books of your own.
