SINGAPORE - Water gushed onto two roads in Hougang early on Sunday (March 26) morning, affecting traffic for part of the day.
National water agency PUB said it was informed of a pipe leak near the junction of Upper Serangoon Road and Hougang Avenue 3 at 4.30am.
Two road lanes have been closed to carry out repairs, but the road is passable to traffic, PUB said.
"Works to isolate and repair the pipe are in progress and are expected to complete by this evening," the agency said in a statement.
Sandbags were stacked at the junction to manage the water which covered part of the roads and a pedestrian crossing.
SBS Transit said on Twitter that two bus services were skipping bus stops on the two roads due to the burst pipe.
