SINGAPORE - A video of an argument between a taxi driver and a female passenger who apparently vomited in the taxi has gone viral.
The video, taken by the taxi driver, starts with him approaching the woman while recording, and saying in Mandarin: "Talk, keep talking."
Both of them are outside the taxi, and it appears to be in the wee hours of the morning.
She then starts recording using her phone as well, saying: "Come on, let's see who is better."
When the taxi driver instigates her to talk about her wealth, she says: "$100, I can give you in the blink of an eye. How much do you want me to pay you? $200, $300, $500?"
The bespectacled, short-haired woman spoke in a mix of Mandarin and English.
In the video, the driver continues provoking her and says he will put up the video on citizen journalism site Stomp, to which she replies sarcastically that she is "very scared".
After claiming that her father is a "multi-millionaire in the construction industry", the woman adds: "Look at this desperate and useless taxi driver. He is only going to get $50 out of this. I have so much money I don't know what to give."
She ends the spat by calling him "brainless".
Several netizens who watched the video uploaded on Stomp got riled up with the woman's flaunting of her wealth. One who commented on the video said: "Whether she is really rich or just pretending to be rich, her behaviour and thinking must bring great shame to her entire family."
Others called her arrogant, and said that the taxi driver would have to pay $50 for a car wash.
While most were on the taxi driver's side, others also said that he should not have provoked her.
