A video clip of a collision between a lorry and a motorcycle on the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) has gone viral online.

The three-minute long clip, originally posted on Facebook here, shows the white lorry tailgating the motorcyclist, before side-swiping her while trying to overtake.

The clip, which appears to be taken from a windshield-mounted camera, has been shared more than 8,200 times since it was uploaded on the afternoon of Jan 19. Police told The Straits Times they received a call requesting for assistance on the PIE towards Changi Airport, near lamppost 926 at about 1.35pm on Jan 19. They confirmed that an accident involving a lorry and motorcycle had happened at the location.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said an ambulance was dispatched to PIE, in the direction of Changi near the Stevens Road exit. The motorcyclist, a woman in her twenties, was conveyed conscious to Tan Tock Seng hospital with multiple abrasions and injuries to her limbs.
