SINGAPORE - The flypast of the Red Arrows, the aerobatic team of Britain's Royal Air Force (RAF), is set to take place on Tuesday (Oct 18) after being postponed twice.

Its performance was first scheduled for Oct 13 but was postponed to Oct 15 after unexpected weather. It was later postponed again on the morning of Oct 15 due to "ongoing inclement weather in the South-east Asian region".

The British High Commission confirmed in a press release on Monday (Oct 17) that the flypast will take place on Tuesday from around 1.10pm to 1.30pm in the vicinity of Marina Bay and Gardens by the Bay. The Red Arrows will perform a flypast and an aerial orbit over the sea. The flypast may also be visible from Sentosa.

Red Arrows pilots fly the BAe Systems Hawk T. Mark 1, which is being used by the RAF as an advanced fast jet trainer.

The Singapore stop is part of the team's visit to the Middle East and Asia in a campaign to showcase the best of Britain.

The Red Arrows were first here in 1986, then 1996 and in October 2003.
