Would you take the Singapore-KL high-speed rail? Take our poll

SINGAPORE - The terminus for the high-speed rail link between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur will be sited in Jurong East, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced on Tuesday.

First conceived at their 2013 retreat, the link will cut travel time between Singapore and KL to 90 minutes.

But the ambitious project will not be completed by the original target of 2020. The new target date will be announced after both sides have agreed on all major issues of the project. And the deadline for this agreement is the end of this year.
