SINGAPORE - A video of a man punching a driving instructor at the ComfortDelGro Driving Centre in Ubi has gone viral since it was posted on Facebook on Wednesday.

The video shows a man in a long-sleeved shirt falling backwards onto the bonnet of a car after being struck in the face.

As of 7pm today, it had been viewed almost 125,000 times.

ComfortDelGro confirmed the incident which it said took place on Monday.

Responding to queries from The Straits Times, Ms Tammy Tan, ComfortDelGro's group corportate communications officer said that it was an "unprovoked attack".

She added that the instructor's lip was cut and he was sent to the hospital. He is currently on medical leave.

A police report has been lodged and the student driver has since been barred from driving lessons at the school.
