SINGAPORE - Tanjong Rhu View will be closed to traffic between 5pm and 8pm on Friday for the Sports Hub Community Open House and Sea Games One Year Countdown Walk-A-Jog, said the police on Thursday.

The stretch of Stadium Walk between Kallang Theatre and Kallang Leisure Park will be converted to allow two-way traffic from 9pm to 11pm on Friday.

The carparks in front of Kallang Theatre and Kallang Leisure Park will also be closed.

Members of public attending these events are urged to take public transport and alight at Kallang MRT station or Stadium MRT station.

Police said that traffic flow around the Sports Hub is expected to be heavy throughout Friday, especially between 4.00pm and 11.00pm. They advise the public to be patient and to follow the directions of auxiliary police officers and traffic marshals.

Parking restrictions along peripheral roads will also be enforced strictly, and vehicles found parked and causing obstruction will be towed away.
