SINGAPORE- A dramatic video of a London cab blocking off a red car on an expressway before releasing thick smoke from its exhaust was shared on road community safety page Roads.sg on Tuesday (Nov 22) night.

The undated dashboard camera video shows the red car first cutting into the taxi's lane at the entrance to the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE). Once on the expressway, the London cab can be seen trying to cut in front of the red car as both cars weave back and forth between the lanes.

When the red car finally overtakes the London cab, the taxi releases a timely wall of black smoke from its exhaust.

As of 11.30pm on Tuesday, the video had received more than 11,000 views and was shared more than 100 times.

Users were divided as to which car was at fault, with some blaming the red car for cutting into the taxi's lane, and others criticising the taxi driver for not giving way and intentionally blocking the red car on the expressway.

A user, Chay Him, commented that "Impatience and ungraciousness (sic) like this is the root cause of accidents on our roads".

Some other users took issue with the black smoke emitted from the London cab and wondered if the National Environment Agency (NEA) would penalise the driver.
