SINGAPORE - The Straits Times understands that a Singapore Airlines flight from San Francisco via Hong Kong was delayed at Changi Airport for several hours after landing after a bomb threat was made against the aircraft.

The flight, SQ1, landed at noon on Sunday (Nov 22), but passengers were reportedly only allowed to disembark at 2pm.

Police vehicles were seen on the tarmac.

The airline confirmed that a bomb threat was made against the flight, and that the matter was referred to the authorities. It said that it could not provide further details as it concerns security.

However, several people tweeted that passengers were made to undergo additional security checks, and that there were security issues with the checked baggage.
