SMRT train services to start earlier on Sunday for StanChart Marathon; some buses diverted

SINGAPORE - SMRT train services will start earlier on Sunday for people heading to the Standard Chartered Marathon 2014, while 12 bus services will be diverted between 1am and 3.30pm, SMRT said on Tuesday.

On the North-South Line, the first North-bound train will leave Marina Bay MRT station at 3.30am, while the first South-bound train will leave Jurong East MRT station at 2.45am.

On the East-West Line, the first East-bound train will leave Joo Koon MRT station at 2.30am, while the first West-bound train will leave Pasir Ris MRT station at 3am.

On the Circle Line, the first inner-bound train departs from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station at 3am, while the first outer-bound train departs from HarbourFront MRT station at 2.45am.

Service A from Senja Station on the Bukit Panjang LRT will start at 2.30am.

The changes do not apply to the MRT line extensions covering Expo, Changi Airport, Bayfront, Marina Bay (Circle Line) and Marina South Pier stations.

Bus services 61, 75, 77, 106, 167, 171, 190, 700A, 851, 960, 961 and 970 will not stop at some bus stops in the town and Central Business District Area, due to road closures for the race.
