SINGAPORE - The Early Turnover Scheme, which was implemented in 2013, will be extended to include Euro II and III vehicles from August.

The scheme currently encourages the early replacement of older and more pollutive Pre-Euro and Euro I vehicles.

Senior Minister of State (Transport), Josephine Teo, announced this in Parliament yesterday during the debate on her Ministry's budget.

She added that more vehicles will be eligible for benefits under the expanded scheme which will be beneficial for businesses including small and medium enterprises.
