SINGAPORE-The section of Jalan Satu between Cassia Link and Mountbatten Community Centre (CC) will be permanently closed to traffic from June 2.

The road closure is to facilitate the construction of a new extension of Jalan Satu Road which connects Mountbatten CC and Jalan Dua, said the Housing Development Board (HDB) in a statement Thursday.

Motorists are advised to use these alternative roads:

- Those heading towards Mountbatten CC and Kong Hwa School from Cassia Crescent and Cassia Link should use Jalan Satu via Old Airport Road

- Those heading towards Mountbatten CC and Kong Hwa School from Old Airport Road should use Jalan Satu via Old Airport Road

- Those heading from Mountbatten CC and Kong Hwa School to Cassia Link should use the alternative route through Jalan Satu and Jalan Dua

Blinking lights, barricades and diversion signs will be put up. Motorists should drive carefully and observe the information signs displayed, said the HDB.
