SINGAPORE - Commuters can get their hands on an Off-Peak Pass from June 28.

For $80 a month, commuters with an adult monthly travel card can get unlimited travel on buses and trains during off-peak hours on weekdays, and throughout the day on weekends and public holidays.

Those with senior citizen concession cards and persons with disabilities concession cards can get the pass for $40.

Off-peak hours on the weekdays are any period outside of the morning peak period from 6.30am to 9am and the evening rush hours of 5pm to 7.30pm.

The pass can be purchased at all TransitLink ticket offices, concession card replacement offices and passenger service centres. It can also be bought from add value machines and general ticketing machines.

The pass will cover all journeys that start during the off-peak period. Subsequent transfer trips, including those that fall within the peak period, will be covered.

Fares for journeys that start during the peak period however will be deducted from the stored value of the commuters' concession cards.

Commuters need to have one of the three concession cards - adult monthly travel card, senior citizen concession card or persons with disabilities concession card - to buy the pass.

They can apply for one online at TransitLink's website, the TransitLink Mobile Services app or at TransitLink ticket offices and concession card replacement offices.

Those applying for an adult monthly travel card can also choose to buy one with the Off-Peak Pass already pre-encoded from June 1.

To receive the concession cards before July 5, which is when the Off-Peak Pass will be launched, applicants are encouraged to submit their applications through the online or mobile e-service channels before June 19.

For more information or feedback on the Off-Peak Pass, the public can call the TransitLink Hotline at 1800-2255 663, log on to Transitlink's website (www.transitlink.com.sg) or visit their Facebook page at facebook.com/TransitLinkSG.
