More train links to airport?

Another train link to Changi Airport could be in the offing with a feasibility study to be conducted on extending the upcoming Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL).

If found to be viable, the TEL will carry on from its last eastern stop at Sungei Bedok station to the future Terminal 5 and the existing Changi Airport MRT station.

That station, which serves Terminals 1 to 3, as well as the upcoming Terminal 4, is now serviced by a shuttle from the East-West Line.

Studies will also look into linking the proposed 50km Cross-Island Line (CRL) with T5, to be completed in the 2020s. The CRL will also be linked to the proposed high- speed rail terminus in Jurong East.
