SINGAPORE - Three people have been taken to Changi General Hospital after an accident involving three vehicles took place on the East Coast Parkway (ECP) on Monday morning (July 13).
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received calls at 9.50am alerting them to the accident that took place in the Marine Parade area and had despatched one ambulance.
The SCDF also received a call earlier at 9.05am to another accident involving vehicles on fire near the same location. It despatched one fire engine, one red rhino, two fire bikes and two ambulances.
The fire was put out using one water jet and two compressed air foam backpacks.
No one was injured in the second accident, the SCDF said.
Both accidents on the ECP caused a massive jam on Monday morning.
Motorists were advised to avoid Lane 1 on the ECP towards city before Still Road South exit, according to a tweet at 10.25am by the Land Transport Authority (LTA).
The tweet also said that there was a congestion till East Coast Park carpark F3 exit.
