A double-decker bus swerved and crashed into a perimeter wall at Eastern Lagoon 2 condominium in Upper East Coast Road.

It happened around 9pm yesterday as the bus was travelling along Bedok South Avenue 1 towards New Upper Changi Road.

Eyewitnesses said the bus narrowly missed hitting a tree. Glass fragments were scattered on the road after the accident.

Passengers on the bus managed to alight using the back door and had left before The Sunday Times arrived at the scene.

Residents of the condominium were gathered near the bus, which was still on the pavement outside the estate.

Police said nobody was injured.
