SINGAPORE – With the exception of commercial vehicles, certificates of entitlement (COE) for all other vehicles ended lower at the latest tender Wednesday (May 24).

COE for cars up to 1,600cc and 130bhp took a dive to end at a 13-month low of $46,489, down from $51,106.

COE for cars above 1,600cc or 130bhp closed at $53,001, down from $55,414.

Open COE, which can be used for any vehicle type but ends up mostly for bigger cars, slipped to $52,000, down from $55,000, despite reports of brisk sales at the Car@Expo retail bazaar two weeks ago.

Motorcycle premium eased to settle at a four-month low of $6,101, down from $6,301.

Commerical vehicle COE, however, rose from $26,029 two weeks ago to hit $30,600, dashing industry hopes of a $15,000 premium after a supply surge.
