SINGAPORE - Certificate of entitlement (COE) prices ended slightly lower for cars and motorcycles at the latest tender on Wednesday (Oct 4).
COE for cars up to 1,600cc and 130bhp finished at $41,761, down from $42,902 in the previous exercise. COE for cars above 1,600cc or 130bhp closed at $48,109, down from $49,189.
COE for the open category, which can be used for any vehicle except motorcycles but which ends up mainly for bigger cars, ended at $49,000, down from $49,012.
Commercial vehicle COE bucked the trend by rising from $46,890 two weeks ago to hit $48,902.
Motorcycle premium finished at $5,010, down from $5,501.
Showroom traffic slowed after a rebound in the previous tender, while weaker demand from private-hire and taxi operators continued to ease pressure on premiums.
