SINGAPORE - Certificates of entitlement (COE) for cars ended higher, while premium for commercial vehicles and motorcycles eased at the latest tender on Wednesday (April 12).
COE for cars up to 1,600cc and 130bhp finished at $52,000, up from $51,765 two weeks ago. COE for cars above 1,600cc or 130bhp closed at $54,405, up from $54,000.
Open COE, which can be ued for any vehicle tpe but ends up mostly for bigger cars, closed at $54,556, up from $54,501.
All three are now at the highest in five months.
Commercial vehicle COE finished at $45,906, down from $47,036. Motorcycle premium slipped to $7,589, from the previous all-time high of $8,081.
The latest premium is still the second highest on record, despite attempts by the government to temper its relentless rise.
