Bus, train services extended on New Year's Eve

Bus and train services will have extended operating hours on New Year's Eve.

The last trains on the North-South and East-West lines departing from City Hall towards Jurong East, Pasir Ris and Joo Koon will leave at 2.15am, while the last train terminating at Marina South Pier will leave at 2am.

On the Circle Line, the last train from Dhoby Ghaut towards HarbourFront leaves at 1.41am, while the last train leaving HarbourFront for Dhoby Ghaut will depart at 1.38am.

The last train on the North East Line going towards HarbourFront will leave Dhoby Ghaut at 2.08am, while the last train in the other direction - from HarbourFront towards Punggol - will leave Dhoby Ghaut at 2.25am.

On the Downtown Line, the last train in the direction of Bukit Panjang will depart Promenade at 2.10am, while the last train towards Chinatown will leave the same station at 2.12am.

Services on the Punggol, Sengkang and Bukit Panjang LRT systems will also be extended.

The last train on the Sengkang LRT will leave the town centre station at 2.52am, while that for Punggol will depart at 2.55am. Meanwhile, the last train on the Bukit Panjang LRT, from Choa Chu Kang to Ten Mile Junction, will leave at 3.13am.

A total of 54 bus services from both SMRT and SBS Transit will have their operating hours extended.

Some services, such as those serving the Central Business District, will not be in operation during the evening peak hours as offices will be closed earlier that day.
