SINGAPORE - Service between three stations on the Bukit Panjang LRT line has resumed after an hour-long disruption.

Operator SMRT tweeted at 1.35pm on Tuesday that service between the affected stations was back to normal.

Earlier at 12.18pm, it tweeted that service had been disrupted between Choa Chu Kang and Keat Hong stations, affecting commuters travelling in both directions.

The operator activated free public and shuttle buses at all Bukit Panjang LRT stations.

It is currently investigating the cause of the disruption.

On Monday, southbound train services from Yew Tee to Kranji stations were disrupted on the North-South Line - also run by SMRT - for about 4 1/2 hours. A train had stalled before a damaged section of the third rail, which required more time to repair due to lightning in the area.
