SINGAPORE - A Traffic Police officer seen pushing a car on a busy road is attracting online accolades for his "superhero" feat.

The photo, posted on the Facebook page of Singapore Automobile.com on May 20, has garnered more than 1,000 likes and has been shared more than 380 times. It came with the caption: "Well done Mr traffic policeman. Saluted."

Mr Fed Wu, 36, who uploaded the photo, said that the incident happened on Paya Lebar Road on Wednesday around 6pm. He was stuck in a jam on the opposite side of the road when he saw the policeman pushing the car and took a photo.

The policeman was pushing the car to the left lane so that other cars could pass, he said.

"We always see traffic policemen issue summons, or stop people for traffic violations.This is the first time I've seen one push a car, and such a heavy car, alone," he told The Straits Times.
