Traffic, parking changes around Sports Hub on Saturday, June 28

SINGAPORE - Parking, traffic, and a bus service around the newly-constructed Sports Hub will be affected on Saturday in view of several events being held in the area.

Stadium Walk, between Kallang Theatre and Kallang Leisure Park, will be converted into a two-way road from on Saturday between 9 pm and 11pm. The open-space carparks in front of Kallang Theatre and Kallang Leisure Park will not be available for public parking, as with the carparks in Sports Hub. Only motorists who have purchased pre-sold parking tickets - for one car each - will be allowed to park at Sports Hub.

The traffic police advises the public to use public transport to get to either Kallang MRT station or Stadium MRT station, as traffic flow around the vicinity, including Nicoll Highway and Mountbatten Road, is expected to be heavy throughout the day.

From Saturday 8.30pm onwards, bus Service 11 departing Lorong 1 Geylang terminal will skip Stadium Boulevard and Stadium Crescent. Alternative bus services will be available along Nicoll Highway and Mountbatten Road.

Taxi services would be diverted to the OCBC Arena Taxi Stand within the Singapore Sports Hub as well as the temporary taxi stand at the Old Kallang Airport between 8pm and 10.30pm. On-call taxis and taxis on private bookings will not be allowed into the Singapore Sports Hub roads during this period. Members of public may contact Sports Hub on the hotline: 6653-8900 for further enquiries.
