Traffic cop hurt in collision

A Traffic Police officer was injured outside the State Courts yesterday in a collision between his motorcycle and a Mercedes sedan.

The Straits Times understands that the driver of the car was a district judge.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it responded to an incident along Upper Cross Street towards the Central Expressway tunnel at about 8.35am. An ambulance was dispatched to the location, and a man was conveyed to Singapore General Hospital in a stable and conscious state.

Police said they were informed of an accident along Upper Cross Street towards Havelock Road involving a Traffic Police motorcycle and a car. The officer sustained minor injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
