A lorry and two auxiliary police motorcycles were involved in an accident outside Jalan Besar stadium at Tyrwhitt Road while a Singapore team took on visiting team Atletico Madrid inside.

The police said they received a call for assistance at about 9.26pm on Wednesday.

No one was injured in the accident.

The football match started at 8pm and attracted throngs of football fans to the stadium. The Singapore side lost 2-0 to the Spanish team.
