Top Toto prize snowballs to $6.5 million

The top Toto prize will snowball to about $6.5 million on Monday, as there has been no top prize winners for the last three consecutive draws. Nobody won the top Toto prize for the last week of last year, of which the prize money was almost $1.2 million. Nor did anyone win the top prize for Jan 4 and Jan 7, and winnings increased to over $4.7 million, reported Shin Min Daily News yesterday.

The top Toto prize reached over $8 million on March 12 last year, when it was not won on March 2, 5 and 9.

The winnings went to a single person at the time, hitting a record high.

Singapore Pools said on its website that if there is no Group 1 prize winner at the end of four draws in a row, the final amount - 38 per cent of the fourth draw's prize pool, plus the snowballed amount from the three preceding draws - will be paid to the next prize group and shared among winners equally.
