The continued growth of these companies bodes well for Singapore's push into the digital economy and the Government's plans to position the country as a hub where companies can set up bases and tap local manpower.

For example, earlier this month, Shopee opened its new six-storey regional headquarters in Kent Ridge and announced aims to double its workforce from 1,500 to 3,000. The company is looking to hire more data analysts, data scientists and software engineers.
