Thundery showers across Singapore Thursday morning

SINGAPORE- Many people in Singapore started their Thursday in the midst of a thunderstorm as heavy rain fell on many parts of the country.

The National Environment Agency first issued a warning on heavy rain in the Southern, Western and Central areas on its Twitter page at about 7am.

It updated its page about an hour later to say that that moderate to heavy thundery showers with gusty wind are expected to continue in many parts of Singapore until 1pm.

Starting from 11am, the weather began to clear up. The National Environment Agency(NEA) said at 11am on Twitter that the rain had become lighter. By 2pm, it updated its page to to say that the weather in general was cloudy.
