Since Secondary 1, I've gone to KAP McDonalds numerous times to have my lunch. It has been a popular place for students around the area to enjoy a meal after a day in school. KAP McDonalds had been a common hangout spot for my class. We spend our time eating, chatting and studying together, which forge stronger bonds between us.. Thank You KAP McDonalds for accompanying me through 4 years of my Hwa Chong life. I believe it will definitely be a shared memory for all of us. :) -- PHOTO: INSTAGRAM USER ELTONLEEHS

ST readers sent in over 50 photos of their favourite memories of King Albert Park McDonald's as part of a Straits Times Instagram contest.

The 23-year-old outlet closed its doors to the public on Sunday at 11.59pm.

Among the photographs sent in was one from @iam_keow who frequents the place with his National Junior College friends. Another entry was from @eltonleehs who remembers it as a favourite hang-out for him and his Hwa Chong friends.

Reader @wanlinlow said King Albert Park McDonald's was one of her family's favourite places to have a meal together.

The winning photos however were posted on Instagram with the hashtag #STremembers by the following users: @kaaiii89, @catastrofree and @musfirahmusa.
