'Three generation' community garden to build bonds in Choa Chu Kang park

A 'three generation' community garden is being planted in Choa Chu Kang Park in an effort to build "bonds" between young and old in the area.

The garden, announced on Saturday, will feature planting beds at different heights to cater for different age groups and will also be wheelchair accessible.

It is a collaboration between One Connect @ Choa Chu Kang Group Representation Constituency (GRC) and the National Parks Board.

The plans were announced by Health Minister Gan Kim Yong, who is also an advisor to Choa Chu Kang Grassroots Organisation. He planted 30 native trees to launch the new 6.8 hectare park extension.

"We hope to foster an environment where bonds can be built between residents of all ages," he said.
