Tenant charged with stabbing landlord in Yishun flat; lorry runs over motorcyclist in carpark; police probing; CPI down, but core inflation up

* Malaysian Woo Mui Mee, 34, who allegedly stabbed her 76-year-old landlord William Wong Keng Woo with a paper cutter, was charged in court today for causing hurt.

* Police are investigating an incident in which a lorry ran over a motorcyclist at a carpark exit in Toa Payoh Lorong 6 last Tuesday.

* The consumer price index, which measures headline inflation, fell 0.8 per cent from the same month a year ago - extending the longest stretch of deflation that Singapore has experienced since 2009 to some 12 consecutive months.
