When The Force Awakens in Singapore next month, these Star Wars fans will be the first to see it, having scored tickets to the first screenings on Dec 17 at the Shaw Imax theatres in Lido and JCube. Ticket sales for the 12.01am screening began yesterday at 9pm at Shaw Lido. But Mr Nicholas Ho, who was first in line, had staked out his spot 24 hours earlier, to "make sure" he would not miss out. Mr Ho, 33, a drummer, said: "I didn't want to risk not getting these tickets, so I decided to stay overnight. As a huge Star Wars fan, it's worth it." Tickets to all other screenings began online at 12.01am today.
