Temasek Polytechnic in Tampines has opened a student-run store called the Void. It is a collaboration between the school and audio-visual retailers Atlas Sound and Vision.
Under the project, which started last month, 21 students will sell products such as Bose headphones and speakers to other students and faculty, who will get a discount of 15 to 20 per cent.
In addition to running the shop as part of their curriculum under the retail management program, the students receive sales and customer relationship training provided by Atlas. They will also get to pitch new design concepts and store layouts to Atlas.
The collaboration lasts till Aug 5 and will be reviewed then.
