Tampines accident update: Tributes mark site where two boys were killed

Tributes continue to pour in at the accident site in Tampines where two brothers were killed in a horrific accident on Monday evening.

Nigel Yap, 13, and his brother Donavan, seven, who were on a bicycle, were struck by a cement mixer truck at the junction of Tampines Ave 9 and Tampines Street 45.

Monk and devotees from a nearby temple were spotted offering prayers at the accident site Wednesday afternoon.

Dozens of flowers, soft toys, food offerings, joss sticks and messages to the two boys formed a mini shrine at the junction.

Some looked as if they had been written by children, and one featured clouds.

One message read: "Rest in peace with Jesus in Heaven."

Meanwhile, a police sign appealing for witnesses to what happened has also been placed there.
