Madam Chan Khar Hwee has been a committed Straits Times reader for close to 40 years, and the 65-year-old is not about to stop. "Both my husband and I read the paper regularly and so do our children," said the Pasir Ris resident, who recently renewed her subscription at the Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) subscription drive at White Sands Shopping Centre.

By opting for any Straits Times package, new subscribers will receive gifts, such as an Asus Zenpad C Tablet for a three-year subscription, or a YI Dash In-Car Camera when signing up for two years.

Most subscribers have been opting for the "All-In-One (AIO)" package, which consists of online and print editions of ST, said Ms Terylyn Lou Si Yu, an assistant at the White Sands booth, which will be at the mall till June 21. New subscribers to the AIO package could win a trip for two to their dream destination or a retreat at Resorts World Sentosa.

Other subscription drives include events at Singapore Expo Hall 6 (June 23 to 26), Suntec Hall 405 and 406 (July 1 to 3), Century Square food fair (July 8 to 14) and The Kidz Academy, Waterway Point, ( July 11 to 17).
