More than 500 participants walked up and down the stairways of the National Stadium yesterday morning in the inaugural Singapore Sports Hub Stepper challenge.

They covered 2,000 steps as part of the Community Fun Stepper route and were flagged off by the Singapore Women's Everest Team and Sports Hub adviser Phillippe Collin-Delavaud.

Three other races and a carnival were postponed because of poor air quality.
