From Tuesday, Jan 15, 2013, Starhub will offer movies rated R21 on its On Demand platform. The other cable television provider, SingTel mio TV started offering such films in October last year, after the Media Development Authority gave cable television providers the green light to do so.
Starhub will offer six titles to start off, including The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Lust, Caution, from $5.99 a movie.
To access the titles, customers need to have the HubStation, HubStation HD or HD Interactive set-top boxes. They must also verify their identities to ensure that they are above 21, and register for an R21 PIN by calling 1633 or visiting any StarHub Customer Service Centre.
