StarHub's fibre broadband service has been restored after some customers reported problems accessing the internet for at least four hours on Tuesday morning.

The telco, in a Facebook post at around 11.30am, said that services for affected fibre broadband customers had been "fully restored", and that it "will monitor the situation closely". Assistant vice-president of corporate communications Caitlin Fua said that the cause of the disruption is under investigation.

Serangoon resident Brandon Cheok, 23, said that his internet and land line services were disrupted from around 9am. His internet service was restored at about 11.30am, but he still has problems with his phone line. "I discovered it when I couldn't check my emails and couldn't receive phone calls. I tried to restart my router but it didn't help," he said.

Some users were still complaining of unusually slow internet service after 12pm. User "CouPark Singapore" posted at 12.05pm on StarHub's Facebook: "We are still having problem at Radin Mas area... Facebook and Google is good, but accessing local sites having big problem".
